ignore option

is there a way to perma-ignore a certain persons posts?
you know.. so it could stop taking up useful space on your monitor.

that should be an option.

I think it might be if you check on the user CP. or if you go to some one's profile and block them.

yeah I just tested it. You have to go to the person's profile, click to put them on your ignore list...and it will blank out all their posts when you are trying to go through a thread.

^^ MY THOUGHTS... What if someone you are not ignoring is responding to their post... that is just going to get confusing.. It will be like missing links to the puzzel!

some ppl's posts are pointless, stupid, immature, and make it hard for you to keep your mouth shut about them..with long signatures. so if you dont ever care what they have to say.. and they take up too much space to boot..ignore is great. it shows you that the person you're ignoring made a post.. with a simple one line sentence representing their probably oxnoxious, unneccessary, meaningless post. you'd get the idea if someone was responding to them.

i have a REALLY hard time not getting in the last word, and then i'm mad and thinking about what i can say to best them....so petty and unnecessary. i've discovered that if i just forget those people are there (the ones i can't help responding to) then i am so much happier. learned that on irc...ignore is niiiiice, imo.
