Emporia youths injured in crash
A one-vehicle wreck in rural Lyon County early Sunday left three Emporia youths hospitalized in Wichita. The Lyon County Sheriff's Office said Sunday that a rollover accident at 1:54 a.m. occurred in the 400 block of Road 70, a gravel road southwest of Olpe.
The injured teens, Brandon Little, 16, and Gregory Longbine, 15, were taken by air ambulance to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, and Dillon Cox, 16, was taken by ambulance to Newman Regional Medical Center in Emporia and then transferred to Wesley Medical Center.
Little and Longbine were in critical condition. Cox was in serious condition Sunday night. A sheriff's office dispatcher said the cause of the accident was under investigation.
