Grime garage, that quintessential East London urban street sound made famous by Dizzee Rascal and Wiley, is fast becoming a popular genre in Brazil.

Below is a free download of the country’s first ever grime track, produced by two locals from Sao Paulo.

Bruno Belluomini and MC Jimmy Luv produced ‘Voh Keimah!’ after they fell in love with grime.

They’ve also set up the country’s first club night dedicated to the genre.

Check out the next issue of DJmag (no3/vol.398) to read all about Brazil’s new-found fascination with grime, and for an interview with Bruno Belluomini, on shelves 2nd September 2005.

Bruno is a friend of mine. Real nice guy.

Brasillian Grime is another one of the many offshoots of breaks, so you house heads may not even want to listen.
