As many of you may have heard, tonight is the last night for Ultra
Violet at Abe & Jakes. UV has been hailed by many to be one of the
best looking and best thought out club nights in the area in a long
time. Instead of just setting up turntables and letting dj's play,
they made Abe & Jakes look and feel completly different. Using state
of the art lazers, lights and video projections, Abe & Jakes never
looked and felt better. However, as has been seen in most rave/club
enviroments over the last year, attendance wasnt good enough to fill
the 1500 person capacity of Abe & Jakes, and now Hypersonic (the
producers/promoters behind UV) have decided to pull the plug on UV
and move onto other nightlife dance projects. So tonight, come and
enjoy the finest that Lawrence has to offer for the last time, even
if to just say you were there.
Tonight for our last night, not only do we have Breakbotix opening up
in the main room, with a live remote from KLZR from 9-11, but we also
have BLUE -one of the area's most talented rising D&B DJ's IMHO, and
T-Kid -Tribal Vision's finest, invites you to feel the rush with his
epic tunes and superior skills.
Let the alcohol flow as you check out the beautiful people in the
ultra-sexy UV Lounge -with Bucho, Rj Bass, Greg Zoi and Italic. These
guys know how to moisten some panties with their good looks
and 'filthy-rich cocaine-club style' cocktail of sounds.
Lose the plot in the Infra-Red Chamber, to the filthiest techno and
the most sordid UK Hard House obtainable. Brought to you by Andrew
Boie and Sydeburnz -trust me, these guys are masters of fear-
induction.
Last but not least, check your head out on the deck -suck in a few
lungfuls of fresh air and re-energize at the Red Bull Stand -most
likely for free! Just when you thought you were safe, J-Pheonix and a
few kool kats will amaze you with a combination of live-PA,
digeridoo, drums and other instruments.
So if you havn't been to UV yet, or can rarely make it down, tonight
is the date for you.
Charlie and the UV crew want to also thank all those of you who came
out and supported the night for the past three months. Some nights
were obviously better then others but all of them have been fun.
Thanks again.
The UV Crew and Dj's.
