No Doubt About It, White Sox Win
Chicago Takes Lead in ALCS Behind Garland: White Sox 5, Angels 2

ANAHEIM, Calif., Oct. 14 -- With his powerful right arm, Chicago White Sox pitcher Jon Garland controlled everything Friday night. For nine exceptional innings, he guided the baseball to precisely its intended target. He kept the frustrated home crowd, which wanted nothing more than to explode at someone or something, silent and mild. As the late innings crept in and the Los Angeles Angels' fire was nearly extinguished, Garland made the inevitable appearance of the Rally Monkey on the JumboTron seem silly and desperate. There was simply no rally to be had.

Well, if it can't be the Cubbies, at least the Sox are representing!
They've done phenomenally well this season. Better than I think anyone really expected them to. Hence the "bandwagon" fans Mr. Offtrack speaks of.

Before now, you'd hear them go by such monikers as....The Chicago White Sux, and my favorite, "Dirty Southside Bums". LOL

But have you heard that rumour - Johnny Damon is a free agent this yr, and has been entertaining the idea of wearing a Cubs uniform next season?

BoSox will be losing a great one if this is the case.

GO CUBS! :p

P.S- Can we pleeeeeeaase have at least a decent Royals squad next year?
These past 2 seasons have got to be some of the worst on record. Over 100 losses 2 seasons in a row is unacceptable, even if they are a "small market" team. Hard to not be fairweather when the beloved Royals are this bad.

Nice to see some folks chit-chatting about baseball. It's the world's greatest game!

Game 2 was bizarre, though, and I wonder what kind of psychological effect it had on the Angels. Is Colon done for the season? If so, that is huge as well. I like that young kid Santana going for the Halos tonight. I'm a Cubs fan, but I could give a ______ about the Sox. Guillen is chill, though.

GO CUBS! GO MARINERS! GO MLB!

I love October baseball :p
