The Rev. Fred Phelps (or just some of his brainwashed followers) will be in Manhattan on sat. may 18th in front of Bramlage, to picket K-state graduation. Who knows why. Maybe because we let gays graduate or some other closed-minded crap like that. Well, anyways, this is where the happy part starts..... We can let him know that his message of hate is NOT getting through to us!! The Coalition for Community Action is organizing A Date With Hate- a silent gathering, aimed to let the community see that Phelps' message of hate is not going to be tolerated in our community. If you wish to participate, show up in front of Bramlage at 7:30 AM on the 18th for a brief orientation session, after which will be the silent gathering. If you can't attend, or just don't feel like getting up that early, you can plegde money if you want to. You can pledge X number of dollars to nonviolence and gay rights organzations, so for every minute Phelps stands there spreading hate, he'll just be raising money for what he's preaching against.
