A few years ago, I came to the conclusion that the Ravers some how or another have lost a lot of their roots. I think it would be very good for the scene if there was historical information concerning Rave Culture and the origins of the music that we all listen to today readily available for experienced Ravers, new Ravers and all that have had an opportunity to experience our community. This is a great website, a little area of education would make it even better.

Good Day

I think that\'s a cool idea. Maybe some of the members could get together and start finding info.

i love the idea, but i do see a problem with it. Once you put up a forum for the history of raves in our city, all the old school kids like me will start talking about how we did things back in the day and all the new school kids will get all pissed at us as they usually do when we talk about back in the day. But, all the same im game. How bout it Burnz?

Thats not a bad idea actually. To have a history forum or information section. That would probably take up a lot of space though.

Probably start with the music...ie..house..and probably talk about underground parties...ie..wharehouses...then probably the dancing...ie...liquid...then who knows...possibly stay away from the drug aspect but like it or not its there...probably start with the countries it began in...or just US history? Whatever works works....whatever twerks twerks..

Speaking of Rave Culture History

About a month ago I met a guy named. Larry is from New York, and actually got to be a member of the Paradise Garage. He was quite please to actually find some one that knows what it is. This Larry actually go to see Larry Levan in action at the Paradise Garage in New York. Confident that this list is familiar with the legacy I do not have to say how utterly refreshing it was to have someone to fill in all the gaps of the past. There is just some things that you can not read because it is not documented in that perspective. It was a great honor to meet this individual. Just thought I would mention it.

I have mentioned it before on this site and I will mention it again.

Go buy and read \"Last Night A Dj Saved My Life\".

It is all about the history of the dj and our music from its very very begining.

Its so worth it.

I have seen that one although I have not had the chance to read it yet. I just remember it started off kind of weird although I can not remember what was weird about it.
