August 02,2006 | JASPER, Ind. -- An 18-year-old was charged with reckless homicide after authorities said he crashed a pickup into a tree while under the influence of marijuana, killing his 16-year-old sister and two other teens.
Tyler Messmer of Ferdinand was being held without bond on three counts of reckless homicide at the Dubois County jail Wednesday.
Authorities said Messmer was under the influence of marijuana on June 19 when he tried to pass another vehicle at high speed.
Messmer's 16-year-old sister, Sarah, was killed while riding in the rear seat of the truck along with Tiffany Adkins, 17, and her 16-year-old sister, Brittany. Tyler Messmer and Michael Friedel, 18, were injured in the crash.

i know right. i mean not only did the car he was driving kill his sister and his two friends, but now he will get prison time for having thc in his system....they were prolly just bieng crazy high school kids, fucking around in the car and he lost control and hit the tree. It may have not had ANYTHING to do with weed, just bieng careless kids....now he's fucked/ was he high? or did he just have the thc element in his blood from a party two nights prior?

Who know's... I don't think I could ever live with that guilt on my conscious. Imagine his friend's parent's... losing both their kids too. I can't even imagine and I am not a parent either.

From what I have read, THC only remains in blood for like 4-6 hours.
