Okay, my evening started with heading down to Spiritfest. When we pulled up across the way over by Halmark parking, we could hear the DnB banging. We got the first tent! Rock on! As we approached the tent around 7:30 ish, no one was there. The only people in the tent were Traci Dub, Edwin, CQuence, and the light guy. That was it... Where the hell was eveyone? Who knows. Well, the music was bad ass! CQuence, Traci, and Edwin alternated for quite some time. Promts to you all sounded very good! Nice sound system! Then as the night progressed more and more people would walk through the tent. I love watching people interpret electronic music for the first time. They don't know what the hell to think. I also love it when older people are diggin the music. This makes my night! That everyone can enjoy the electronic scene. Jeanne and I were the only kids dancing there for awhile. Jeanne and her bad ass moves... everyone tried to imitate. This is funny b/c as most of you know she is the fasted dancer I have ever seen. Well, more and more people showed up and lots of kids were dancing. Then it was around 10:30 ish we decided to go to Chew on this 2.
Well we headed out there. Sorry, Traci about missing the exit and having to pull over like 3 times to call the info line. I guess we should have just wrote the shit down. Directions that is. OH yeah, FYI for the next person that records the info line less on the music and more on the voice. Plus don't talk so fast. Kids are trying remember this stuff as you speak. We finally go to Chew on This 2 and we walked in there were these 3 tiny speaker putting out barely any sound. I was like you have to be kidding me. Well, I went upstairs to see if it was any better. It was. I really like the venue though. Great choice. Although there were not many kids there, iot was wierd vibe... not bad just wierd. Well, Never again will I go down one of those slides again. I jammed my ankle which is now bruised all around and so swollen that I look like I have 80' X 80' ankles. Well, that kind of ruined my night... I was pumped to dance and I did anyways even though the pain was horrible. Alex Peace was alright, well it was pretty good. I have seen him in St.L before and his set was bad there. Some of it was not hsi fault the sound kept going out at that party. This party he spun such a long set that be began repeating records which is understandable I guess... Well, 3 o'clock came around and the party was over. Oh yeah, question... who was the girl who was spinning DnB downstairs... is that Brent's girl? That who she looked like. Well, she was the shit! Traci and Edwin were of course the shit. OH yeah I forgot to say when I went back downstairs at one point in the night they turned the sound up so the speaker were banging!
One thing I did miss was all the Kc party kids... where were you guys? I mean don't get me wrong I like seeing new faces but the old ones are nice too.
