Google ready to pull out of China?

This story has been building for some time now, and with each new report it looks more and more like Google and China just can't seem to get along at all anymore.

china is pretty free, they allow searches for almost anything except hardcore porn says my China friends.
there is a lot of propaganda in the news.

i'm just repeating from 4 Chinese foreign exchange students.
they can't believe all the BS they have to deal with in the American news everyday. they are pretty much a free market country with largest growing middle class in the world. we are the quickest shrinking middle class, lol.

i would say it is half truth, and the other half is the news pitching the story to get a rise out of you.

They may have a free market, but they sure as hell don't have freedom of speech, freedom of the press, and a more open political system. That's not to say that the US is fairing much better these days, I actually look to Brasil which enjoys all of the above and is also a fast rising economy.
