The greatest Irish holiday is coming up quickly and I know we all like to celebrate it. So why doesn't Syde-Sho put together a float or something for the parade. It would be great exposure for local dj's and talent and for this website. Just an idea.... ;)

Thats a great idea... I wish I could be around to see it but... I\'m heading to DALLAS! HUGE parties going on down there for the irish drinking fans.

but that would be cool.. we would need people to donate the materials and such...

All that is needed is a flat bed trailer and then decorate however you like!

Well kids. I once worked in an Irish pub here in KC and back in 99 I thought it would be a great idea to have our bar represented in the parade as a float. So I did some checking in on it. Float Registration needs to be completed 6 months in advance and they charge nearly $500 to enter. This site is still looking to make money for a dedicated server, so I think a float is out of the question.

$500 for a float are they out of their minds! I guess if it was really cheap then everyone would have a float!

Some organizations get Floats for much much cheaper, but those are usually not for profit organizations. Although Syde-Sho doesnt exactly make any profits, we not exactly supporting any funding for aids research either. The high cost of the flost goes twoards the cities cost to have the parade, i.e., police protection, barricades etc....
