Vinyl/Turntables gaining in sales
If that rumor about Pioneer/Technics retireing the 1200 turntable is true, then they may have acted a little to soon.

I don't think they did. I think a shop got a letter from Pioneer saying they might not be sending as much stock as usual to the N. Zealand/ Australian market, some shops posted that Pioneer is shutting down production, and it blew up from there.

On the other hand, if Pioneer was considering discontinuing Technics turntables, I suspect the response has killed that notion.

It is awesome seeing that vinyl is gaining as a media. I've been saying CD's are dead since '04, unless you have to give someone 720 mb of mp3's or software.

But I still love vinyl.
